2007
MARCH 23, 24
In celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse Trust (MSSAT), I travelled to New Zealand, to attend a one day conference, held at the Holiday Inn, Christchurch, with guests from Switzerland (Dr Werner and USA (Mike Lew). I presented a guilt workshop in the afternoon session. It was followed by a celebratory dinner in the evening for everyone connected to the agency, and we had a great time.
On Saturday 24 March 2007, a one day workshop for male survivors, facilatated by Mike Lew, was held at the same venue.
Everyone in Christchurch were amazing, very welcoming, treated me like a member of the family and showed great friendship to whilst there, and I left with some good memories, took away some good friends and will go back to see them too.
When asked at the Immigration desk at the airport as to what my visit was for, I informed them and was processed rather quickly, which made me laugh.
Huge thanks, and love to Ken, Kaye and all the other people who made me so very welcome in their country, including an anonymous lady who sat down to chat with me in the city centre, during her lunch break.

Another great workshop, shared with some amazing male survivors, and I took away some great memories. My thanks to the guys there in group and especially Phil, for putting me up at his house whilst I was there. Many thanks mate!
I also got to meet up with an old friend and fellow survivor, in Perth, who was over there on holiday from the UK at the same time as I was there, so it was real good to meet up with her, share our views of the country, sit out in the sun and watch the world go by. All that way to have a cuppa!
