SATURDAY 27th SEPTEMBER 2008

Hyde Park to Trafalgar Square
Meet at MIDDAY onwards

NO-ONE DENIES THAT CHILDREN ARE SEXUALLY ABUSED EVERY DAY, BUT MANY CHOOSE TO IGNORE THE SIMPLE FACT THAT THOSE CHILDREN GROW UP TO BECOME ADULTS, AND EVENTUALLY FIND THEIR VOICE!

So make your voice heard, and tell everyone you know that the Annual March and Rally against Child Sexual Abuse is taking place on 27th September 2008, in central London!

Male and Female Survivors, partners, families, friends and supporters are all welcome to join us once again for the 2008 Annual March through the streets of London, culminating in a Rally at Trafalgar Square, central London.

People are busily working behind the scenes to ensure that this event takes place, and if you need further information, or can help in any way please call STEPUP on 020 8517 5888

Too nervous to attend? Please try to come along, we're friendly, and if you feel unable to 'show' your face as a Survivor, we always need support in other areas, such as Stewards to 'man' the route we take through the streets of London.

WE'RE BACK, AND LOUD AND PROUD! ~ BUT THIS IS YOUR EVENT TOO!

The March and Rally will allow us all to meet up with old and new friends, and despite the reasons for being there, will also allow us some time to have fun.

As always, as many people will be given a chance to speak out, listen to other speakers, and perhaps even just sing your heart out!

There will be the usual 'bits to the Rally, such as the release of ballons, allowing you a chance to post your personal messages, and to let go of the the pain you have carried for so long, before the event comes to an end.

If you would like to help, or can help raise much needed funds please contact us, we need every bit of help and support to make this years event even more significant

Please let as many people know, either via your e-mail listing, by letter, or telephone, that the Annual March and Rally is back on, and lets make sure that no-one escapes noticing that we are no silent!

Quotes -

  • 'I'm still buzzing! What a fantastic day! Wish we could have met more of you properly. We were truly moved by the the vulnerability, strength and power that you all showed. By how many people were able to speak for the first time!'

  • 'I had never knowingly been in the company of other survivors until today, and the power and friendship that came from being part of the the march and rally is unbelieveable! I will be there next year, with more of my family'

  • To be with others, like me, who were abused, but who are now so strong, was simply stunning and amazing to experience'

  • 'Exhausting, but exhilarating!'

  • ' It was unlike anything I have ever known! I'm still smiling!'

  • ' In less than 5 mins I felt comfortable, relaxed and very very safe '

  • ' Amazing, inspiring, full of love '

  • 'Inspired...exhilarated...glad...when everyone held hands....to sing along with "Something inside so strong"...I felt alive '

  • I personally thought it was a great day, we gotta do it again next year somehow (all donations gratefully received) if we have helped just one survivor on the road to healing then it was worth it, and always will be for as long as the march continues.

  • ' We Marched and made lots of noise...and more noise..noise...NOISE!.....to all of you who didn't make it to the Rally because you may felt nervous, or anxious etc...I had NO intention of meeting anyone...or marching.....but I did it, and I shall be there next year 100% definitely. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! '

  • ' Emotions run high though the day. But with the understanding and support of everyone there the day becomes enjoyable and exhausting!

If you joined us in 2007, we hope you had a powerful and healing day too, and we'd love to see you, and your supporters, friends and family again in 2008, in London.....Just think..if everyone there at the march/rally, brought just one extra person!.....
